A good point for the Hammers

Herita and his team gave a good account of themselves yesterday afternoon at Stamford Bridge. Having won pretty much all the personal battles in the first quarter of the game, and then taken the lead through the brilliant Craig Bellamy, the Hammers ended up with a very satisfying draw. Unfortunately for Gianfranco’s men, Anelka brought the Blues level in the second half. Nevertheless, we can take great heart from having given a very solid performance against one of the league’s strongest teams. The Hammers remain in 16th place, but few team can claim to have taken anything away from this stadium!

Herita et son équipe de West Ham ont fait belle impression cette après-midi à Stamford Bridge. Après avoir gagné pratiquement tout les duels en première mi-temps et même ouvert le score par l'intermédiaire de Bellamy, les Hammers rentrent avec un match nul très satisfaisant. C'est Anelka qui a permis aux Blues de revenir au score au retour des vestiaires, malheureusement pour les hommes de Gianfranco Zola. Néanmoins on peut se réjouir d'avoir vu une équipe très solide face à une équipe très impressionnante. Le classement ne change donc pas pour West Ham qui est toujours 16ème mais peu d'équipes peuvent se vanter d'avoir ramené ne serait-ce qu'un point de ce stade!

Less than 48 hours to go until the Hammers face a tough game, another London derby awaits them – no less than a trip to Chelsea. They are a team which has tasted very little defeat since the start of the season, and one which knows how to turn matches into points, currently sitting in second place with 36 points. Hérita and his teammates are going to give it all they’ve got in order to hopefully get the best result possible tomorrow.

Good luck to West Ham, who’ve still got plenty of games in which to climb up the table.

Les Hammers sont à moins de 48 heures d'un match qui s'annonce très difficile. C'est encore un derby londonien qui les attend mais pas le moindre : un déplacement sur la pelouse de Chelsea. Equipe qui n'a pas connu beaucoup de défaites depuis le début de la saison et qui sait transformer chaque match en points précieux, c'est ainsi qu'ils sont les actuels deuxième du championnat avec 36 points. Herita et ses coéquipiers vont donner le maximum pour rapporter le meilleur résultat demain soir en espérant que le succès soit au rendez-vous.

Defeat in the East London Derby

West Ham were unable to further capitalise on the trips to Sunderland and Liverpool (picking up 4 points out of a possible 6). Unfortunately, the Hammers slipped to a 2-0 defeat on Monday night at Upton Park against Tottenham. After a relatively even first half, Spurs opened the scoring through Ledley King, having largely dominated the Hammers. It was a tough defeat for Hérita and his teammates, but despite this, there can be few complaints. Tottenham made a big impression – players such as Lennon, Modric and Jenas make Tottenham tough opponents to play against. Although disappointed, Hérita was pleased to be able to chat with his old teammate from his St-Etienne days, Dider Zokora – who put in a strong performance.The next match is another tough one. The Hammers face another derby – away at Chelsea, to take on their galaxy of big stars...

Défaite dans le derby de l'est londonien

West Ham n'a pas réussi à faire fructifier les deux bons déplacements de Sunderland et Liverpool (4 points engrangés sur 6 possibles). West Ham s'est malheureusement incliné 2-0 lundi soir à Upton Park face aux Spurs de Tottenham.

Après une première mi-temps relativement équilibrée, les Spurs ont ouvert le score par King aprèsa avoir largement dominé les Hammers. Une défaite difficile pour Herita et ses coéquipiers mais malgré tout une défaite logique. Tottenham a fait belle impression. Avec des joueurs comme Lennon, Modric ou Jennas, Tottenham est une équipe difficile à jouer. Malgré la déception, Herita a été heureux de pouvoir discuter avec son ancien coéquipier de Saint-Etienne Didier Zokora (auteur d'une très belle prestation).

La prochaine rencontre s'annonce difficile. C'est encore un derby qui attend les Hammers. Déplacement à Chelsea pour affronter son armada de stars...

Is it possible to doubt of Herita happiness in West Ham ?

The interview of Herita for football365.fr (French website) aroused strong passions !!!!! Herita received a lot of reactions from fans. Two of them took the article in the wrong way.

It seems that there is a little confusion between what is written and what should be understood. If you go through the article you will understand that Herita is really happy to be in West Ham and that he WISH TO SIGN HERE as a permanent. As he also said in the interview West Ham is a big club with real history, fans and values. And that is what he repeats constantly since he arrived in this fantastic club.

Anyway, those mails prove the usefulness of the blog, share opinions and feelings with fans. It also proves that Herita takes into account your point of view. So don’t hesitate to send emails !!!!!!!!!!!
